Reading – We will review everything from this past nine weeks before we start our STAAR review when we come back from Spring Break.
Writing – We will practice revise and editing and short written responses.
Studies – Catchup week on everything before Spring Break.

Studies – 3.5A and 3.5B – We will discuss human capital by having students create their own businesses and review the financial literacy vocabulary.

Writing – 3.12D – We will revise and edit passages as well as discuss the writing conventions. We will review for the Common Assessment.
Social Studies – 3.5A and 3.5B – We will talk about human capital and assign jobs to create budgets with.

Reading – 3.2Bvii and 3.11Ai-xi – We will rewind and review what our individual classes need.
Writing – 3.12D – We will revise and edit passages as well as discuss the writing conventions. We will pin point combining sentences using conjunction words.
Social Studies – 3.5A and 3.5B – We will talk about financial literacy and create budgets of different kinds followed by activities.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Reading – We will introduce argumentative texts, identify the claim, and distinguish fact from opinion.
Writing – We will compose argumentative texts including opinion essays. We will continue to revise and edit sentences and passages.
Social Studies – We will introduce the vocabulary of financial literacy, and give a basic introduction as we will dive deeper next week.
Due to MLK day and the two snow days, we are pushing back what we were going to teach the week of Jan. 15th – 19th to this week, Jan. 22nd – 26th. We are taking the last two days of this week, Jan 18th and 19th to catch up on our MAPS testing that we missed due to being out of school. Thank you!
